| Note 8: From 80-84, Subaru utilized 2 types of E-A units (Energy Absorption Units). E-A units are the steel struts that join the bumper to the frame of the vehicle. These units are designed to collapse on impact and absorb the energy from collision. They are bolted to the front of each frame rail and to the back of the bumper. One type utilized by Subaru was round which uses the 905-1 bracket kit. If you vehicle has the standard square-tube E-A unit, use the 902-1 mounting bracket. |
